On this date: April 9, 1965

A brief groundbreaking ceremony for the new $1.6 million Carbon County Vocational-Technical School will be held tomorrow.

Edgar Smith, Penn Forest Township, county board president, will preside and introduce Carbon County Superintendent of Schools Stuart E. Prutzman, Assistant Superintendent R. Newton Davenport and James Tule, principal of the new school.

Slated to take part in the ceremony are members of the county school board and school authority as well as administrative heads of the school districts throughout the county.
