Lehigh/Northampton crashes

Area drivers were involved in crashes recently investigated by state police at the Bethlehem barracks:

• A one-vehicle crash occurred at 1:12 a.m. on April 4 along Route 309 in North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County. Troopers said Chelsie M. Fetherman, 30, of Lehighton, was driving a 2008 BMW X3 northbound when the vehicle traveled across the center dividing line and the southbound lane. The vehicle then struck a raised curb on the west shoulder with its front and rear driver side wheels. The vehicle came to rest in the center dividing lane facing north.

Fetherman was not injured but the vehicle was towed.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 5:55 p.m. on March 15 along Route 22 in Bethlehem Township, Northampton County. Troopers said Julia J. Ritchie, 30, of Allentown, was driving a 2016 Volvo T5 in the left lane while westbound with Alexander K. Wilkoski, 35, of Palmerton, driving a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta directly behind her. Ritchie began to slow down due to heavy traffic ahead of her while Wilkoski was going too fast for conditions. The front of Wilkoski’s vehicle hit the rear of Ritchie’s vehicle.

No one was injured.

Wilkoski was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.

• A three-vehicle crash occurred at 2:45 p.m. on March 31 along the Bethlehem Pike (Route 512), in East Allen Township, Northampton County.

Troopers said vehicles operated by Jarrett C. Weiss, 19, of Bath, Meagan J. Edgar, 33, of Bath, and Bianca M. Thomas, 26, of Northampton, were all northbound. Thomas and Edgar were stopped to make left turns onto Locust Road. Weiss didn’t see the stopped vehicles. The front of Weiss’s 2009 Kia Rondo hit the rear of Edgar’s 2008 Hyundai Elantra. Weiss continued north with vehicle then impacting with Thomas’s 2010 Honda Accord.

Weiss sustained a suspected serious injury and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. A passenger with Weiss, Brooke L. Brida, 19, of Walnutport, and Edgar and Thomas, all sustained suspected minor injuries. Brida was taken to St. Luke’s while the other two were treated at the scene.

Weiss was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.

Fogelsville

State police at Fogelsville reported on two crashes on Lehigh County roadways.

• A hit-and -run crash occurred at 3:10 p.m. on March 17 along Golden Key Road in Weisenberg Township. Troopers said the crash occurred at the intersection with the exit ramp of I-78 westbound. Drivers involved were Edwin Carrasquillo, 43, of Allentown, driving a 2017 Ford F150 truck and Frank Gaglione, 35, of Lehighton, driving a 1998 Chevrolet CK2500 truck. No injuries were reported.

Troopers cited Carrasquillo for accidents involving damage to attended vehicle or property - hit-and-run.

• Another hit-and-run was reported on March 20 at 10:29 a.m. along Route 100 in Lower Macungie Township. Troopers said the crash occurred on the Trexlertown bypass at its intersection with Spring Creek Road. Drivers involved were Fredy J. Ramirez Agustin, 33, of Danielsville, driving a 2000 Ford F150 truck and Stephanie M. Monk, 29, of Macungie, driving a 2013 Honda Civic. No injuries were reported.

Ramirez Agustin was cited for accidents involving damage to attended vehicle or property - hit-and-run.
