Tamaqua police reported charges against a borough resident for damaging a sign on a residence.
Police identified the suspect as Steven W. Schickram, 42, of Arlington Street.
According to police, On March 30 at 3 p.m. a resident of Market Street came to the police station to file a complaint of someone damaging a sign she had on her front porch. She said the sign was altered with lettering added to the cardboard sign, which was stapled to the porch. The person was with a child at the time and the victim said his picture was taken by video camera she had at the residence. The video showed the man leaving after posing for a picture and then the child returning a short time later and taking another picture.
She told police the suspect, Schickram, then posted on his Facebook about the incident. On March 31 the husband of the victim called and asked that charges be filed against Schickram and claimed that the suspect has been harassing his wife on Facebook.
Schickram was charged with disorderly conduct, harassment and criminal mischief.
