A Lykens man died in an accident on Thursday.

The Schuylkill County Coroner’s office was dispatched to the scene of a fatal accident in Porter Township.

Schuylkill County Coroner Dr. David G.Moylan III said deputy coroner John Mika responded to the scene.

Mika identified the man as Horace Evans Brandenburger. An age was not available. Mika pronounced the man dead at 12:41 p.m. on scene.

A supervisor with the Schuylkill County Communications office said the accident was near East Grand Avenue and Second Street, and was called in at 11:35 a.m. The coroner’s office was dispatched at 11:50 a.m.
