Carbon to hold vaccine clinic for area seniors

Carbon County seniors who have yet to be vaccinated against COVID-19 will be able to sign up for an appointment next week through a partnership between county, state and local entities.

Susan Zeigler, administrator for the Carbon County Area Agency on Aging, announced Monday that the county Agency on Aging, Mauch Chunk Pharmacy and state Rep. Doyle Heffley are partnering together to hold a vaccination clinic at Jim Thorpe Memorial Hall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 14.

The clinic is open to any county resident age 60 and older who wants to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

To sign up for a vaccine appointment, call the aging office at 610-824-7830 or Heffley’s Lehighton office at 610-377-6363.
