April 1, 1971 - Larry Curvey wins two events and takes part on a winning relay team to help Tamaqua gain an 80-70 track victory over Schuylkill Haven. Curvey takes first in both the 100 and 220, while aiding the 880 relay squad that breaks the tape. Dave Robinson also contributes a pair of firsts, winning the 880 and mile. Other Blue Raiders to win events include Matt Welsh (pole vault), Dan Fetterman (javelin), Lon Craigle (shot), Damian Demyanovich (long jump) and Jerry Zubey (440).
