The Summit Hill Reds led the Whites, 2,214 to 1,886, in the marathon basketball game in the Summit Hill Junior High School at 10 a.m. today, after completing 27 hours of play.

Eleven Summit Hill boys started the marathon at 7 a.m. yesterday in an attempt to break a record of 26 hours and 35 minutes set last week by a group of youths from Gadsden, Alabama. The score of the Alabama game was 2,749 to 2,682.

The players, all sophomores at Panther Valley Joint High School, take two minutes of rest at the end of each hour of play and five minutes of rest at the end of each four hours.
