Sunday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, begins 9:30 a.m. The bread wafer and communion container are pre-sealed as a safe way to celebrate the sacrament. Reservations must be made before the close of office hours Thursday. Enter the doors on Iron Street. No-touch forehead temperature will be completed. Masks covering the nose and mouth must be worn throughout the entirety of the worship service. There will be no singing. The Rev Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Joshua Krenz assists.

In-person classes for confirmation students in seventh and eighth grades meet in Luther Hall on Sunday at 10:30 a.m., with social distance and face mask guidelines.

The final midweek Lenten worship with the theme of devotions “Come and See!” is this evening at 7 p.m. for those with reservations.

Palm Sunday, March 28, outdoor egg hunt and parade in the church yard for students ages 3 through sixth grade begins at 10:45 a.m. Bring your own baskets to take treat-filled plastic eggs home. Students will parade with palms around the lawn and parking lot. Face mask and social distancing guidelines will be in place. No church school classes April 4. The spring session of Sunday church school and confirmation classes begin April 11 and continue through May 23, as drive-thru format, 10:45 a.m.

Holy Week schedule: Maundy Thursday worship with Holy Communion April 1, 7 p.m.; RSVP by March 31. Good Friday Tenebrae April 2 worship, 7 p.m.; RSVP by April 1 (4 p.m.).

The Thrift Store shopping and donation drop-offs are by appointment only. Please call 610-377-4471 on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to schedule an appointment for Thursday drop-off of donations. Thrift Store hours are Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Fridays from 1-6 p.m. by appointment. Masks and social distancing are required. Due to limited space, no children under the age of 12 will be allowed. All sales receipts support the food pantry.

The Food Pantry continues to be open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting and precautionary measures in place. Residents in need who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive prepackaged supplemental food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pickup. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.
