Tamaqua police log
Tamaqua police reported on the following incidents:
• On Feb. 14 police were dispatched to the Turkey Hill at 330 E. Broad St., for a disturbance. The victim said he was physically accosted by Travis Christman, 29, of Center Street, Tamaqua. Police said the situation escalated into a fight which led to property damage. A window pane at the store was damaged with the repair cost set at $1,515.99.
Police charged Christman with criminal mischief - damage to property, a misdemeanor 2, and two summary offenses of disorderly conduct and harassment.
• Francis Lamar Eisenberg, 33, of the 100 block of Cherry Street, Tamaqua, has been charged with criminal trespass and defiant trespass actual communication.
On March 6 at 11:40 a.m. police were dispatched to Hunter Street for a trespassing complaint. The resident told officers when she arrived home she noticed the door of her apartment was wide open and said multiple items were missing from inside, including a television stand and bed frame. Police said video footage was obtained from a nearby residence which showed Eisenberg loading items that were taken from the residence into the bed of a pickup. Police said Eisenberg was previously told he was not allowed at the residence, per a protection from abuse order.
Eisenberg was arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, and released on his own recognizance.
• Korey Michael Gruver, 33, of the 200 block of Pine Street, Tamaqua, has been charged with simple assault and harassment.
Police said on March 5 at 1:06 a.m. they were dispatched to the 200 block of Pine Street, for a possible domestic incident. On scene the female victim was found inside the residence with the left side of her face and head showing that she had obviously been struck. She told officers she came to the home to visit a friend. While in the kitchen area she said Gruver accused her and the friend of having an intimate relationship. They denied the accusation and Gruver punched the woman in the face. She said he punched her a second time in another area of the residence.
Gruver had left the residence before the arrival of police. Police searched the area but didn’t find him.
• Ryan Wickkiser, 32, of the 300 block of Broad Street, Tamaqua, is facing a charge of contempt for violation of an order of agreement.
Police said Wickkiser made contact with a woman in violation of a protection from abuse order. The violations allegedly occurred on Feb. 26 and March 6.
