Fire companies are on the scene of a house fire on the 300 block of W. Bertsch Street.

The fire broke out shortly after 5 p.m.

At least eight companies from Carbon and Schuylkill County are on scene.

Reports from the scene indicated a mother and three young children were taken to the hospital. At least two jumped from the window. One person is unaccounted for at this time.
