Carbon to spend $100K on audiovisual equipment

Carbon County is spending approximately $100,000 for audiovisual equipment at 44 Susquehanna St.

Last week, the commissioners approved an agreement with Visual Sound of Broomall for $96,154 in audiovisual equipment, as well as a one-year service plan at $4,631. The equipment will be for the new multipurpose room that is being created during the 44/76 Susquehanna St. renovation project.

Commissioner Chris Lukasevich said the new multipurpose meeting room will have 58 seats and will be used for various group meetings, including the Carbon County Planning Commission, Council of Governments and Agriculture Preservation Board.

Before this new meeting room, the largest training room the county had for groups to use for meetings or trainings was at the Emergency Management Agency.
