Easter donations needed

The Carbon County Dorothy Day House is giving away Easter baskets to children in need up to the age of 13.

The new organization is currently looking for donations to create the baskets. Items needed include new children’s socks, coloring books, Easter crafts and Easter candy.

Upcoming meeting

Carbon County Catholic Worker will host its first Lansford Community Center advisory committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. on March 25 at 124 E. Abbott St., Lansford.

The mission of Catholic Worker is to feed the hungry, comfort the sick, shelter the homeless, clothe the naked and more.

The meeting will include forming a committee to decide what to do with the former St. Michael the Archangel Church, funding for the Lansford Community Center in the former Our Lady of Angels school building and working on the food and essential goods pantry.
