Panther Valley student places in essay contest

An eighth-grade Panther Valley student recently took second place in the Patriot’s Pen Essay District contest. Isabella Miller, second from right, accepts a $250 award from Rick Ellas, district senior vice commander. With them are Craig Strohl, Nesquehoning VFW commander and Isabella’s mother, Carmela Yost.
