Monroe County crashes

State police g reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Monroe County roadways.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 11:36 p.m. on Feb. 10 along Route 209 in Hamilton Township. Troopers said Kalle L. Spires, 22, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2017 Hyundai Elantra southbound and traveling too fast for conditions while it was snowing.

State police at Stroudsburg said she lost control of the vehicle which began to slide and crossed over the northbound lane and hit a concrete barrier off the east berm where the vehicle came to rest.

Spires and her passenger, Trevon X. Bradshaw, 21, of Sciota, were not injured. The vehicle had to be towed.

Spires was cited for the crash.

• State police at Lehighton reported a one-vehicle crash at 6:47 p.m. on Feb. 8 along Route 534 in Polk Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Michael W. Burns, 24, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2001 Ford F150 truck northbound when he lost control. The truck went onto the berm and flipped onto its roof. Burns was not injured. He was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
