A letter of acceptance in response to a call to become pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bowmanstown, was received from the Rev. John Solliday, a native of Allentown, and was read to the congregation during the worship service yesterday by Kathryn Flexer, church council president.

Solliday, who will begin his duties on March 15, is coming off a sabbatical leave after having served as vice pastor of the Christ Church, Saucon Valley, from 1973-76. Before that, he served at the Pleasant Valley parish in Monroe County.

Solliday and his wife, the former Barbara Brugess, have two children, JoAnn, 9, and Paul, 7.
