State police at Frackville reported investigating the following crashes in Schuylkill County:

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 12:08 p.m. on Jan. 12 along Wildcat Road in Walker Township, outside of Tamaqua. Troopers said John J. Kotchmar, 53, of Tamaqua, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado truck westbound when he attempted to avoid a deer that entered the road in front of him. The truck left the road and struck a tree in an embankment area on the right side.

Kotchmar was not injured but the truck was towed.

• A one-vehicle crash occurred at 10:53 a.m. on Jan. 14 along East Darkwater Road in New Castle Township. Troopers said Matthew J. Daniels, 31, of Pottsville, was driving a 2003 Subaru eastbound when the vehicle struck a large rock on the roadway. The rock caused disabling damages to the vehicle, which was towed. Daniels was not injured.

• A three-vehicle, rear-end type crash, was reported at 5:43 p.m. on Jan. 14 along Route 209 in Porter Township.

Troopers said Maria A. Strouse, 49, of Port Carbon, driving a 2018 Subaru Outback, and Andrew J. Kinka, 60, of Pine Grove, driving a 2013 Chevrolet Captiva, were stopped waiting for another vehicle to make a left turn. Melissa L. Morgan, 43 of Tower City, driving a 2016 Dodge Dart, didn’t realize the vehicles ahead were stopped. The front of her car hit the rear of Strouse’s vehicle pushing it into the rear of Kinka’s vehicle.

No one was injured. The Dodge and Subaru had to be towed.
