A Carbon County driver was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Monroe County. State police at Stroudsburg said the crash occurred at 10:20 a.m. on Jan. 9 along Route 209 in Hamilton Township.

Troopers said David P. Styczen, 20, of Stroudsburg, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado truck westbound and became stuck on an incline due to icy conditions.

The truck began to slide backwards due to the icy conditions and struck the front of a 2016 Volvo 749 series driven by Peter E. Kessler, 47, of Lehighton. The Silverado had to be towed. No one was injured.

Styczen was cited for operation of a vehicle without official certificate of inspection.
