Two defendants waive hearings in Schuylkill County drug bust

Two of the three defendants in the Schuylkill County drug bust by the state Attorney General’s office last month waived their preliminary hearings recently.

Schuylkill Haven residents Andrew Dotter, 33, and Tina Hosier, 35, each waived their hearings scheduled in Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier’s court, Dec. 29 and Dec. 15, respectively. All charges were waived to the Schuylkill County Court of Common Pleas. A court date has not been set. Each are out on $50,000 unsecured bail.

Dotter is charged with three felonies, two of manufacture, possession with intent to deliver or deliver a controlled substance and one count of criminal conspiracy engaging, manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver. Five misdemeanor charges, use possession of drug paraphernalia, three of possessing a controlled substance when not permitted, and one count of criminal conspiracy engaging-possessing a controlled substance when not permitted. Court documents show he is awaiting an accelerated rehabilitative hearing.

Hosier is charged with seven felonies, two of manufacture, possess with intent to deliver or deliver a controlled substance, one of criminal conspiracy engaging-manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, and four charges of possessing a firearm.

Documents state Hosier is prohibited from possessing a firearm. Three misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance, criminal conspiracy engaging, possessing a controlled substance not permitted, and one charge of drug paraphernalia were also filed. Court documents show she is awaiting an accelerated rehabilitative hearing.

Richard F. Nicoletti, 44, of Philadelphia, has a preliminary hearing scheduled for 12:15 p.m. Jan. 12 in Ferrier’s office. He faces two felony charges of manufacture, possess with intent to deliver or deliver a controlled substance, one charge of criminal conspiracy engaging, manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, four felony charges of possessing of a firearm. Three misdemeanor charges of possessing a controlled substance, one charge of use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and one charge of criminal conspiracy engaging, possessing controlled substance when not permitted.

Nicoletti is out on bail after a bondsman posted $50,000 of surety bonds on his behalf.

Agents with the AG’s office and Schuylkill Haven Police found heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamine, guns and more than $3,000 after a search and seizure warrant acted upon at 18 Center Ave. in December. All told, a search of the residence found 11 ounces of methamphetamine, 10.5 grams of heroin, 9.3 grams of Fentanyl, half-pound of marijuana, five packets of THC gummies, five Suboxone strips, a Bersa thunder .380-caliber handgun with six bullets, a .22-caliber derringer, a Ruger .22-caliber revolver, and a .380-caliber handgun, and $3,746, an affidavit indicates.
