On Thanksgiving Day, St. John’s UCC, 15 South Second St., Slatington, served 282 meals, (66 were delivered to shut-ins). This was a record breaking event.

We want to thank all our members and church friends who had any part in making this year’s dinner drive-thru a huge success. This could never have occurred without all of your help.

Much of the food and cash was donated by local businesses - namely Bowmanstown Diner, Crystal Spring Dairy Farm, Giant Food Stores, Hucksters Discount Grocery, Jaindl Farms, Mr. Bill’s Poultry Market, Sal’s Pizza & Family Restaurant, Sam’s Club, The Buttered Crumb, Thomson’s Meat Market, Vigilant Fire Company and Weis Markets.

The freewill donations on Thanksgiving Day and the excess money after expenses was donated to the Northern Lehigh Food Bank. We should all be very proud of our efforts and Christian giving to our community.
