State police at the Hazleton barracks are investigating the theft of a package that contained a wedding band from a front porch of a Tresckow home.

A 67-year-old man from North Parkview Drive reported to police the package was delivered by Fed Ex. It contained a Fishtail diamond wedding band valued at $267.83.

The theft happened between 2:43-4 p.m. Dec. 28.
