State police at Frackville reported on the following crashes:
• A 2020 Kenworth tractor-trailer traveled off Interstate 81 in Mahanoy Township and went down an embankment after a collision with another rig.
Police said Pierre Brown, no address listed, was driving the rig north at 6:15 a.m. Sunday when it was struck in the rear by a 2015 International tractor-trailer operated by a Richard Hamilton, no address listed.
Police said the impact caused the Kenworth to go down the embankment and come to rest against a tree.
No injuries were reported.
Police said Hamilton was cited as a result of the collision.
• Brian S. Dillman, 49, of Shenandoah, was injured in a crash at 5:23 p.m. Dec. 16 on Route 54, Barnesville Drive, in Ryan Township.
He was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital by the Mahanoy City ambulance.
Police said the incident occurred when a 2020 Kenworth tractor-trailer operated by Anthony A. Nigrelli, 39, of Bethlehem, was stuck on the highway, blocking three lanes of travel heading west when a 2018 Jeep Cherokee driven by Dillman struck the trailer portion of the rig.
The Jeep was towed from the scene, police said.
