Borough files judgment
The Borough of Palmerton has filed a judgment against Cindy Whiteman, 620 Mauch Chunk Road, Palmerton, in the amount of $2,906.21.
The amount includes unpaid solid waste, sewer and water bills, property maintenance violation costs and costs and fees for a property at the above address.
Appeals license suspension
Zeri D. Brewer, 229 Third St., Weatherly, has filed the suspension of his operator’s license by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation, Bureau of Licensing, Harrisburg.
The license was to be suspended effective Dec. 25 for three years, as a result of a conviction of violating the state’s Motor Vehicle Code on a charge of homicide by vehicle on March 7, 2016.
Township files liens
Franklin Township, 889 Fairyland Road, Lehighton, has filed six municipal lien claims against Joan E. St. Jean, executor, and the Estate of Michael R. Whitford, 28 Canal St., Lehighton.
The liens contend the defendant(s) are responsible for unpaid garbage bills on six properties in the township in the cumulative amount of $13,597.98 for 2015-2020.
The properties and their respective arrearages are: 28 Canal St., $1,715.77; 50 Canal St., $2,355.48; 54 Canal St., $2,355.48; 46 Canal St., $2,357.50; 42 Canal St., $2,419.98; and 36 Canal St., $2,393.29.
IRS files lien
The Internal Revenue Service, Cincinnati, Ohio, has filed a judgment against Aqua Solutions Plus Inc., 80 Broad St., Beaver Meadows.
The federal tax lien against the business is in the amount of $21,473.68.
Judgment transferred
A judgment entered in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County has been placed on record in the Carbon County.
It is against Pearce Enterprises LLC and Gary L. Pearce, Philadelphia, in the amount of $6,988.74.
Fraudulent deposits alleged
The First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, Allentown, has alleged two defendants made fraudulent deposits in a checking account bearing their names and is seeking judgment in the amount of $6,272.63 because of the action.
The defendants are Paul William Gangloff and Jamie Lynn Gangloff, 155 Pine Cone Drive, Lehighton.
The complaint states the defendants made a series of deposits in their checking and savings accounts with fraudulent checks and then made withdrawals against the deposits.
The amount they are seeking represents negative balances in the accounts, overdraft fees, attorney fees and court and sheriff’s costs of the action.
Credit default suits
Portfolio Recovery Associates, Norfolk, Virginia, has filed a credit default action against Mayra Martes, 106 Journey Drive, Albrightsville. Sought is judgment in the amount of $3,232.48 plus costs.
First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, Allentown, has filed a credit default action against William W. Wolfe Jr., 201 E. Kline Ave., Apt. 1, Lansford. Sought is judgment in the amount of $5,327.04 plus interest, attorney’s fees and costs.
