State police at Frackville report on crashes

State police at Frackville report on the following crashes:

• Dylan M. Blashock, 18, of Coaldale, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 12:04 a.m. Dec. 13 on Marian Avenue in Hometown, Rush Township.

He was transported to the St. Luke’s Miners Campus in Coaldale by the Tamaqua Community Ambulance Association. Police said he suffered minor injuries.

Police said he was driving a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta southbound when he lost control of the vehicle. It traveled off the roadway and struck an embankment, then flipped onto its side.

The Jetta was towed from the scene while Marian Avenue was closed to traffic until the vehicle was removed.

Police said Blashock was cited.

• Roberto S. Hernandez, 43, of West Hazleton, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 6:24 a.m. Dec. 12 on the Brandonville Road in Union Township.

Police said he was driving a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee that left the roadway and struck a pole. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Hernandez was not injured.
