St. John’s Lutheran Church, 319 South Ave., Jim Thorpe announces the following service schedule:

First service will be held Christmas Eve at 4:30 p.m. This service will include a children’s time and Holy Communion. Second service will be held at 7 p.m. This will be the traditional Christmas Eve Service with Holy Communion.

The second service will be recorded and broadcast at 10:30 a.m. over WLSH, Lansford 1410, or can be listened to over computer by going to www.wmgh.com and clicking on the link to 1410 AM WLSH.

You must have a reservation: Please call the church office and leave a detailed message: your name, phone number, number of people in your party and what service you would like to attend. Seating will be limited to follow safe social distancing, so please call ASAP. If the service you desire reaches capacity you’ll need to be contacted regarding attending the alternate service if not filled. If you cancel, please call the church and leave a message so someone can fill that spot.

CDC guidelines will be in effect: masks required at all times while in the church, hand sanitizer available and to be used upon entering, go directly to a seat and upon conclusion of worship, no congregating please in the church but proceed to exits. There will be music but no singing, humming or speaking the words only. The entire service will be within the bulletin you will receive upon entering.

The church will be closed Dec. 27 through the month of January. Please continue to listen to the service over the radio.
