A vehicle driven by an Effort woman struck a “car jack tool” that was sitting in the middle of Interchange Road in Polk Township at 5:16 a.m. Dec. 10.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said Rachel Fassl, 34, was not injured.

She was northbound when the 2012 Mazda struck the tool that was sitting in the center of the lane of travel.

Police said the vehicle sustained disabling damages to its undercarriage and had to be towed.
