Pause EPC delays the start of winter sports season

The Board of Principals of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference voted 17-1 to further delay the start of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference winter athletic competition schedule to Jan. 15 on Friday.

“This difficult decision was made after review and consideration of additional data and advice relating to the current pandemic from both St. Luke’s University Health Network and The Lehigh Valley Health Network,” read a release from Whitehall Principal and EPC President Nathan Davidson.

The statement also noted that revised schedules for winter sports will be released by Friday, Dec. 11.

The first official day of winter sports practice was Nov. 20, with the first allowed playing date originally set for Dec. 11.
