A 17-year-old reported what state police are calling an attempted kidnapping/unlawful restraint.

State police at Fern Ridge said the teen was walking in the 100 block Charles Court Drive in Chestnuthill Township, at 10:19 p.m. on Nov. 27 when she said she was grabbed from behind by an unknown man and held against her will. She managed to break free from the assailant and ran to her home. The man ran away. No description of the suspect was available.
