A Schuylkill County driver was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Lehigh County on Nov. 10 at 12:37 p.m. at the intersection of Route 309 and Decatur Street, in Lynn Township.

State police at Fogelsville said Ernest L. Bailey, 74, of New Ringgold, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet CK 2500 truck eastbound on Decatur Street and failed to yield the right of way at the intersection of Route 309 while Lisa M. Rinehart, 44, of Walnutport, was southbound on 309 driving a 2017 Chevrolet Cruz.

Bailey made a left turn onto 309 and pulled directly in front of Rinehart and a collision occurred. After impact Bailey continued his turn, dragging the Cruz northbound on 309 for about 20 feet.

Rinehart and her passenger, a 17-year-old female from Walnutport, were taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, by Cetronia ambulance for suspected minor injuries. Bailey was not injured. The Cruz had to be towed.

Bailey was cited for stop signs/yield signs violation.
