Argall, Scavello at hearing with Mastriano, who has COVID-19

An Adams County senator sat next to state Sen. David Argall, R-Schuylkill/Berks, at a meeting Wednesday in Gettysburg and has now been diagnosed with COVID-19.

The Associated Press reported Sunday that Sen. Doug Mastriano has tested positive for COVID-19 while at the White House for a meeting. Mastriano, who was meeting with President Trump in Washington, left the meeting after learning of the results, the AP reported.

A video on the senator’s website shows him sitting next to Mastriano, who isn’t wearing a mask. The meeting of the Senate Majority Policy Committee was held at the Wyndham Hotel, Gettysburg to discuss election issues. Argall was wearing a mask on the video, but did take it off to speak.

When asked if he will quarantine because he sat next to Mastriano, Argall said, “I’m reviewing my options with my family doctor tomorrow. I’ll know more then.”

Sen. Mario Scavello, R-Monroe/Northampton, was next to Argall at the hearing in Gettysburg.
