Well, it seems that all the Republican Party needs is an invitation to the White House to abandon their principles. In all of my 75 years I have never seen a party work so hard to undermine our free election system.

Now I know Trump doesn’t give a whit about free elections, but just how hard are Republicans willing to fight to eliminate legally submitted ballots? What has happened to the party that I once belonged to? They don’t want to govern. They want to rule just like Trump. We only have to watch Mitch McConnell’s mission of placing conservative judges on as many courts as possible to know that.

Any party willing to fight so hard to keep an absent, incompetent, selfish fool in charge of our great country should never get our support. The man is not participating in our democracy and Republicans know it. He has abandoned us to COVID. He has withdrawn us from participating with our allies to keep the world safe. We are a laughingstock among honest democratic countries and a soft touch to those willing to suck up to Trump.

We no longer care about climate change despite the tragedies occurring around the world. The rule of law doesn’t apply to Trump. How far would you get ignoring subpoenas? Only what benefits Trump or puts money in his pocket is important. And yet Republicans still fight to keep him in office. They publicly support this travesty that threatens our democracy’s very existence. Instead of seeing lawsuits, why don’t we hear their support of our elections? But the biggest question is why aren’t they ashamed?
