State police at Fern Ridge

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following incidents made by troopers.

Troopers responded to a residence along Red Pine Road in Chesnuthill Township, Monroe County, at 7:02 p.m. on Nov. 20 for a burglar alarm. The home was found secured. The homeowner, Janet Ward, 71, of Effort, was cited for false alarms as this was the fifth false alarm at that location within a one-year period.

• On Nov. 19 at 9:14 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2006 Chevrolet truck along Route 115 at Freedom Drive, in Chestnuthill Township. The driver, a 50-year-old man from Effort, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was placed under arrest. He was transported to the county DUI center for processing. A DUI charge is pending test results.

• Kelly Cappello, 42, of Effort, is facing charges of harassment by communications. Police said she continually sent unwanted messages via social media and texting to a 37-year-old man from Penn Forest Township, Albrightsville.
