State police at Lehighton report on the following driving under the influence incidents:

• A traffic stop made at 1:30 a.m. Nov. 25 at the Palmerton exit of Route 248 resulted in the driver being cited for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police said they stopped the 1999 Toyocar after seeing the driver committing a Motor Vehicle Code violation.

• Police said the driver of a vehicle that they found stopped in a roadway in Towamensing Township was found to be driving under the influence.

The incident took place at 4:12 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Spruce Hollow and Stagecoach Road East in the township.

The suspect was taken into custody and transported for a blood test. Police said the charges will be filed at the local magistrate’s office, pending the results of the laboratory tests.

The drivers’ names were not released.
