Group donates to Palmerton police

Palmerton United, a Facebook group of bipartisan local citizens, has donated $4,087 to the Palmerton Police Department, raised during a chance auction fundraiser held last month at the Palmerton Ambulance Building. Two checks were presented; one for $4,037 from the fundraiser, and the other for $50 from Leon A. George II School Buses. The funds will be used for equipment such as Tasers and body cameras.
