State police at Lehighton - crashes

State police at Lehighton reported investigating the following crashes in Carbon County:

• A one-vehicle crash occurred at 2 a.m. on Oct. 16 along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township. Troopers said Reinaldo Magobet, 44, of Jim Thorpe, was driving a 2002 Jeep Liberty though a parking lot when he traveled through a grassy area and his vehicle struck a concrete septic riser with the front end. Magobet left the scene but was later located at his residence and admitted to the crash and leaving the scene.

No injuries were reported.

Magobet was cited for the crash.

• On Oct. 24 at 7:19 a.m. a crash was reported along Forest Inn Road in Towamensing Township. Troopers said Sandra M. Breiner, 26, of Palmerton, was driving a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer northbound when she swerved her vehicle to avoid a deer on the road in front of her. The vehicle went onto the berm and struck a sign before coming to rest at a pole.

Breiner was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed.
