The little brick church at 705 Third St. in Palmerton was bursting at the seams Sunday, when family members of that congregation came from far and near to celebrate the 133rd anniversary of its founding.
During the service, the Episcopal message was brought by Eastern Conference Bishop Herbert D. Wittmaier, who was joined by District Superintendent Rev. David P. Heil.
The pastor of the church, the Rev. Dr. Robert C. Woodward, who came to Palmerton in 1975 from Atlantic City, New Jersey, read the memorial gift list and projects, which included the painting of the interior and exterior of the church, a new nursery and annex with restroom facilities.
