A Monroe County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred on Oct. 16, shortly after midnight.

State police at Fern Ridge said Julio Pagan, 23, of Effort, went to a residence along Leslie Drive, Chestnuthill Township, to confront two individuals over Facebook comments and posts. At the residence Pagan, armed with a knife, repeatedly kicked and punched the front door to the residence, causing damages. He also stole two chairs and an entryway chain from the home, and damaged shrubbery in the rear of the property. Troopers said the incident was captured on video surveillance.

Pagan was charged with terroristic threats, possessing instruments of crime, criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking and disorderly conduct.

Damages were estimated at $350 and the value of the stolen items was $40.
