The Pennsylvania Department of Health Tuesday confirmed as of midnight, that there were 1,557 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 184,872.

Allegheny is reporting an increase of 106 cases, Delaware is reporting an increase of 109 cases, and Philadelphia is reporting an increase of 158 cases.

There are 8,533 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 33 new deaths reported.

Locally, Carbon County is reporting 548 cases, an increase of one. Deaths attributed to COVID-19 remain at 29. Lehigh County is reporting 6,166 cases, an increase of 17. Deaths attributed to COVID-19 are a total of 363, one additional case.

Luzerne County reported an increase of 33 cases, bringing the total to 4,781. Deaths remain at 190. Monroe County has two new cases, bringing the total to 1,940, with 134 deaths. Northampton County has 5,088 cases, an increase of 26 cases. There are 309 deaths. Schuylkill County has 1,656 cases, an increase of 24. Four additional deaths have been reported for a total of 75.
