Pleasant Valley school board

Pleasant Valley School Board voted on the following personnel matters last week:

• Accepted resignations from Matthew Durich, a science teacher at the middle school, effective Oct. 27; Karin DePaul, a substitute paraprofessional; effective Aug. 17; and two monitors, Jonni Murphy, middle school, effective Sept. 25; and Victoria Sherrard, high school, effective Sept. 23.

• In September, the resignations included: Elizabeth Watson, a special-education teacher at the intermediate school; Beth Green, a paraprofessional at the high school; Corinne Acevedo, a monitor, and Tabitha Barnes, a food service employee, both at the elementary school; and Paul Evans, a varsity golf assistant.

• Employees who resigned from their roles as advisers: Vivien Kloss, social studies curriculum leader at the intermediate school, and Bobbi Shupp, computer club adviser at the middle school, both resigned from those duties. Elizabeth Gesualdi resigned in September as the diversity club adviser at the middle school.

• Michael McMullen, Special Education Supervisor K-6, salary of $81,750, is replacing Doug Palmieri.

• Furloughed employees hired as long-term substitutes: Jennifer Clayton, kindergarten teacher, $45,067 prorated), replacing Cassandra Crawford; Christina Ciaravino, kindergarten teacher, salary of $45,067 (prorated), replacing Sarah Sipler, who is on sabbatical.

• Michelle Albanses, health and physical education teacher, $45,067 (prorated), long-term substitute replacing Denise Hopely, who is replacing Jennifer Keller.

• Custodian – Katia Lopez, John Grimaldi, and Nickolas Snyder, $10.38 per hour.

• Monitor – Amanda Campbell, PVES, $10.97 per hour, replacing Stephanie Green.

Assignment changes

• Christina Shoemaker, music teacher, to PVHS, replacing Lois Mann for the school year.

• Nancy Heckman, paraprofessional, to PVHS, replacing Beth Green.

• William Mingle, custodian, to PVHS, replacing Maryann Veneziano.

• Margaret O’Leary, to PVHS, paraprofessional, replacing Alexander Wunder.

• Maria Sarwar, to PVHS, paraprofessional, replacing Linda Reborchick.

• James Shoopack, at PVMS, Spanish teacher, level 1.

• Dustin Wilds, custodian, to PVES, replacing William Mingle.

• Thomas O’Leary, custodian, to PVES, replacing Jared Rechenberger.

• Cerina Bender, full-time paraprofessional, at PVHS, replacing Debra Howell.

• Christina Fiorito-McGowen, PVES, replacing Maria Sarwar.

• Peggyann Corriveau, PVHS, replacing Cerina Bender.
