State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary at a Monroe County property in which the owner is reporting $30,000 in losses and damages of $5,000.

Troopers said on Sunday at 2:38 p.m. they responded to a home at 2110 Route 715, in Jackson Township, for a break-in. Troopers noted the structure is in poor shape and does not provide livable conditions.

The owner, a 78-year-old woman from Brigantine, New Jersey, said she occasionally checks on the property and had noticed that the building had been broken into and ransacked multiple times over the past year.

The woman said multiple paintings and antiques were missing.
