A Lehighton woman was injured when she was struck by a pickup in a parking lot off Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township at 6:13 a.m. Oct. 1.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said Adrienne T. Driscoll, 50, was transported to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus, Stroudsburg, in the West End Community Ambulance. Police said the severity of her injuries is unknown.

Police said the incident happened when Lyle W. Cetnar, 58, of Kunkletown, was arriving for work in a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and entered the parking lot at 1629 Route 209 at a “higher” rate of speed. Police said he told them he did not see Driscoll and was unaware he hit anyone. He parked the vehicle outside the fenced-in area.
