State Police at Fern Ridge report on cases

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following cases:

• Troopers said on Sept. 21 at 3 p.m. Roseann Febbraro, 40, of Mount Pocono, lost control of her pit bull and yellow lab dogs while walking along Bartonsville Woods Road in Jackson Township, Monroe County. The dogs attacked an English pointer dog owned by a 65-year-old Tannersville man. During the incident the man was bitten by the pit bull on both his hands. The victim also had bruises and marks on his right hand and marks and two punctures on his left hand, both indicative of dog bits. The victim’s dog sustained injuries requiring veterinary surgery.

Febbraro was cited for dog law violations, troopers said.

• On Sept. 23 at 3:13 a.m., troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2017 BMW 530i along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, Carbon County. A probable cause search was conducted of the vehicle which yielded marijuana, fictitious credit cards and a large amount of cash. As a result Christian Yammie, 24, and Adrian Jeffers, 35, both of Brooklyn, New York, were taken into custody, processed at the barracks on various drug charges, and later released.

• On Sept. 14 at 1:19 a.m., troopers stopped a 2011 Chevrolet Impala along Route 940 at Sir Bradford Road, in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County, for illegal window tint. The driver and passengers were found in possession of narcotics. The driver, Christopher Bachorik, 49, and passengers Jamie Warmington, 52, and Frederick Holmes, 52, all of Shamokin, were taken into custody for drug possession and transported to the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.
