The tiny Chapel of the Archangels, located at 631 W. Main St., Weatherly, has once again come under attack by borough officials who claim that by using the garage chapel for religious purposes, Father Serguis Blumer and Bishop Philip Cain are in violation of ordinance 92-1, which requires a special exemption for this type of activity.

To drive home their point on how serious the borough believes this problem to be, fines totaling a whopping $49,500 have been imposed by officials on Blumer, who owns the property.

The matter was brought to the borough’s attention by neighbors who expressed concerns about possible traffic problems in the residential neighborhood.
