LCCC courses offered

Lehigh Carbon Community College offers a variety of cooking classes in the coming months:

Cooking with kids classes

LCCC will offer a parent and child class at its main campus. Children ages 10-16 and their parents can attend for a fee.

On Oct. 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., learn how to make classic Neapolitan-style pizza. To register, call 610-799-1197.

Couples cooking

Lehigh Carbon Community College will offer a variety of noncredit hands-on cooking classes for couples to enjoy.

All are held from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Lisa Jane Scheller Community Services Center kitchen at LCCC’s main campus in Schnecksville.

Fees per person vary.

• Learn the history and cultural context and how to make sushi rolls in date night class Sushi 101, held on Oct. 2. Bring a water bottle or nonalcoholic beverage.

• Couples cooking class, The Cuisine of Asia, which will be held Nov. 6, teaches participants how to make dishes from Thailand, Vietnam and mainland China, such as dumplings, egg rolls and wok stir fry.
