State police at Fern Ridge report on incidents

State police at Fern Ridge reported on incidents investigated by troopers:

• On July 29 at 8:11 p.m. Erin Bloodgood, 38, of Albrightsville, and a 59-year-old woman, also from Albrightsville, engaged in a verbal argument over a vehicle at a residence at Sycamore Circle in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

During the dispute Bloodgood struck the other woman on the arm and scratched her, resulting in bruising and bleeding. Bloodgood was charged with simple assault.

• On Sept. 13 at 12:56 p.m. troopers were at a traffic stop along Interstate 80 westbound in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County, when a black and silver handgun was observed lying along the side of the road lightly rusted and weathered.

The Smith & Wesson 9 mm semi-automatic was identified through a serial number as one reported stolen out of Mahanoy City by a 29-year-old man.

• A 58-year-old man from Saylorsburg, had a storage area he rented located off Route 209, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, entered by the latch being broken. Removed from the storage area was an unknown amount of plastic totes and two duffel bags filled with miscellaneous clothes and hunting equipment.

• A 75-year-old man from Catawba Place, Penn Forest Township, Jim Thorpe, reported someone damaged a door at his residence. Damages were estimated at $200. The incident occurred sometime between 1 p.m. on Sept. 13 and 4 p.m. on Sept. 14.
