Northwestern picked up victories in boys soccer and volleyball on Friday.

BOYS SOCCER

Bangor-Northwestern

A pair of goals from Colin Coffield helped Northwestern gain a 3-0 Colonial League victory over Bangor.

Josh Zellner contributed a goal and an assist for the Tigers, who also received an assist from Brandon Smeltz.

Goalie Austin Vogwill only needed to make two saves to register the shutout.

Bangor’s Kaylee Holland scored four goals to lead her team to a 5-1 non-league victory over Lehighton.

The Slaters’ Emily Trotto tallied in the first half before Holland went on her scoring spree.

The Indians (2-2) avoided a shutout when Faith Yeakel found the back of the cage.

Bangor had a 15-7 advantage in shots.
