Valley Oral Surgery welcomes dentist, expands offices

Mark P. Elstein, D.M.D., of Quakertown is joining the surgical team at Valley Oral Surgery, provider of oral surgery and dental implants in the Lehigh and Mahoning valleys.

Valley Oral Surgery now has a fourth office location to better serve the southeastern Pennsylvania region.

Elstein has served the Upper Bucks community from his Quakertown office for more than 40 years and recently made the decision to merge practices with Valley Oral Surgery, a private oral surgery group that already has offices in Allentown, Bethlehem and Lehighton.

“I will continue to practice at the same Quakertown office, however a major reconstruction of the office is in the works to help bring it into the 21st century, with new features such as digital radiography, cone beam CT scans and computerized record keeping,” Elstein said.

During construction at the Quakertown office, Elstein’s patients will be seen at Valley Oral Surgery’s Allentown location (near Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest), or at the Bethlehem office.

As part of Valley Oral Surgery, Dr. Elstein joins Drs. Robert Laski, Jaime Cernansky, Niral Parikh and Markus Hill as part of their oral surgery staff.

Laski said, “Our entire team is excited to add such an experienced and talented oral surgeon to our organization.”

Born in Philadelphia, Elstein received his dental degree from Temple University and medical degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1972.

He served in the U.S. Army, where he was a dental officer with the rank of captain. He was an oral surgery resident at Philadelphia Veterans Administration Hospital, Presbyterian University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, and University of Pennsylvania Dental School from 1975 to 1978. He was in private practice over the years in Elkins Park, Allentown, and Quakertown. He is married, with two grown sons and one grandson.
