State police at the Fern Ridge barracks charged a 15-year-old female from Saylorsburg and a 20-year-old woman from Effort after a confrontation that happened at 6:16 p.m. Aug. 6 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township. Police did not identify the adult in the case.

Police said they were called there to investigate a reported assault and were told by the 20-year-old that some type of liquid was thrown at her and into her car.

Police said she exited the vehicle and confronted the 15-year-old.

The teen alleged the older woman pulled her hair, saying she in turn punched her in the face before the confrontation was broken up.
