Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday at Zion Church Lewistown Valley.

St. John Lutheran

The Rev. Phyllis Wolford will officiate at the 9:15 a.m. Sunday service in St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Calvary Lewistown

Lewistown Valley Tabernacle will host the 107th Annual Campmeeting Aug. 28 through Sept. 7.

Various speakers from the New Ringgold Ministerium will present the message each evening.

Afternoon concerts are at 2:30 p.m. with a special missionary night at 7 p.m. Sept. 2. Bring your own Bible.

Food pantry

The food pantry at American Primitive Methodist Church, 57 Hunter St., Tamaqua, will distribute food on the second and third Wednesday of each month.

The second Wednesday foods like fruits, vegetables, dairy products and limited frozen food will be handed out from 3-5:30 p.m. The third Wednesday, dry goods and frozen foods will be distributed from 10 a.m.-noon and 4-5:30 p.m. Please wear a face mask when coming to the pantry.

Rush-Ryan Seniors

The Rush-Ryan-Delano Senior Citizens met on Aug. 25 at Christ Church, Barnesville. The president opened the meeting with the reading “There’s No One But You Lord.”

Lucille Spaar was added to the sick list. A birthday celebrated was Bonnie Kotchmar. A vegetable basket was chanced off.

The group meets the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 1 p.m. at Christ Church, Barnesville, and is open to anyone 55 or older.
