A Carbon County man was sentenced to a year in jail on Monday morning after pleading guilty to driving under the influence.

Tyler James Behler,

22, of Palmerton, was sentenced by Judge Joseph J. Matika to a mandatory term of one to two years in prison and ordered to pay a fine of $2,500, 18-month license suspension, supply a DNA sample and render 100 hours of community service when paroled. The jail term will be followed by three years of probation.
