Democratic Club

The Eastern Schuylkill Democratic Club will meet on Monday at 7 p.m. live and via Zoom.

Physical meeting at Gary Wegman office, 139 W. Broad St., Tamaqua and masks are required.

St. John Lutheran

The Rev. Phyllis Wolford will officiate at the 9:15 a.m. Sunday service in St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Doors open at 9 a.m. and everyone is required to wear a mask. Call 570-668-4570 with any questions.

Rush-Ryan Seniors

The Rush-Ryan-Delano Senior Citizens met Aug. 11 for the annual summer picnic at St. Peter’s Grove. Food was catered by Hess of Schuylkill Haven.

A basket raffle was held and games were played.

The group is open to anyone 55 or older, meeting the second and fourth Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Christ Church, Barnesville.

Calvary Lewistown

The Rev. Bruce Novel of Barnesville will offer the message at the 10:25 a.m. Sunday service, held at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle, 614 Valley Road, Tamaqua.

For those who prefer staying in the car, the FM station will be available for listening or bring your lawn chair to sit outside. Sunday evening praise and worship is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday prayer service at 7 p.m. Aug. 26.

Lewistown Valley Tabernacle will host the 107 Annual Campmeeting Aug. 28 through Sept. 7.

Various speakers from the New Ringgold Ministerium will present the message each evening.

Afternoon concerts are at 2:30 p.m. with a special Missionary night at 7 p.m. Sept. 2. Bring your own Bible.

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday at Zion Church Lewistown Valley.
